Construction Phase

Project Summary

The project includes new construction of approximately 260,000 gross square feet on the existing Shaun F. Beasly Track and Field. The project site is approximately 19.3 acres, comprising the new Shaun F. Beasly Track and Field and the existing high school building and parking acreage. The configuration of the new construction will feature preferred programmatic adjacencies with three-story L-shaped academic pods, optimized for best fit to avoid phased construction.

Construction Working Hours

Monday through Friday: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturdays, when necessary: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Building "B" - Installation of exterior framing continues
Building "E" - placement of Orchestra Pit concrete.
Building "C" - fireproofing on 1st floor is complete.
Building "D" - Sub-grade prepreations for kitchen underground is complete

Concrete placement for stair B2 in Building "B"
Progress on Buildings "C" Elevator Shaft
Installation of Exterior framing commences at the Gymnasium (Building "D")
Building "C" Concrete Structural Slab on Grade is placed

Week of April 25, 2025

Progress on the exterior envelope for Buildings "B" continues with Sheathing installation
Installation of kitchen underground utilities is ongoing (Building "D")
Spray Fireproofing commenced on the third floor of Building "B"
Subgrade preparation for concrete slabs commenced in the Auditorium (Buiding "E")

Week of April 18, 2025

Installation of the exterior envelope for Buildings "B" commenced.
Building "C" Tarps were removed. Installation of SOG rebar at the Learning Commons is ongoing.
Installation of kitchen underground utilties in Building "D" is ongoing.

Week of April 11, 2025

Buildings "A/B/C: Installation Interior MEP rough is ongoing (pictured: ductwork riser installation)
Building "D" tarps were removed, exterior facade steel adjustments are ongoing.
Buildings "A/B/C": Installation of electrical rough is ongoing.

Placement of Building "D" low roofs' concrete is complete.
Placement of Building "B" framed slab on grade's concrete is complete
Placement Building "E" low roof's (above music rooms) concrete is complete
Building "A" Exterior Framing is ongoing

Week of March 21, 2025

Fireproofing commenced in Learning Commons (Building "C")
Exterior tarping was removed (Building "A") in order for exterior facade framing to commence.
Grading at the Southeast Outdoor Ampitheater

Week of March 14, 2025

Slab on Deck for the Gymnasium (Building "D") is placed.
Installation of under slab rough for Building "F's" main electrical room.
Installation of Building "B" Plumbing/MEPFP systems rough is ongoing.
Installation of stair #1 in Building "A" commenced.
